GEORGIA STATE OFFICES SOUTH AT TIFT COLLEGE

When the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) decided to repurpose the sprawling 40-acre site of historic Tift College, both GDC employees and Georgia citizens gave their enthusiastic support.
An embodiment of the "One Georgia" concept, the thirteen-building campus was large enough to serve as a central location for the GDC offices as well as the Georgia Corrections Academy.

Recognizing the opportunity presented by their parent company, GCI readily agreed to supply a host of products and services for the project, including furnishings.

DAVIS APPLIED TECHNOLOGY
UINTA BASIN COLLEGE

When the Davis Applied Technology College began work on its newly constructed Barlow Building, Utah Correctional Industries hadn’t supplied the college with a single piece of furniture, but by the time the building opened in April of 2009, much of it’s 63,000 square feet contained product designed, manufactured, and installed by UCI.

News like that really gets around, which led to UCI being contracted by the Uintah Basin Applied Technology College to furnish their new Vernal Extension Campus Building only three months later.

UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN - BARRON COUNTY

No one had done it before. Established in 1966, UW-Barron County had never seen a renovation, let alone a major renovation, for almost 30 years. So the concept of expanding, renovating and redesigning the new science laboratories, student activity areas, service spaces, and classroom teaching facilities for the 525 full and part-time students was simply foreign to the educators, administrators and staff of this two-year university in Rice Lake, WI.

“We tried to do it on our own, but that didn't work so well,” Renee Hagen, UW-Barron County project manager says with a chuckle. “We started by getting input from everyone, then looking at the BSI catalog. Fortunately, not too long into the project, we called BSI. If I were to do it over again, I would have called BSI first. It would have saved time, hassle and headaches."

UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN CASE STUDY

The UW-Madison Health Sciences Learning Center opened as one of the nation's premier facilities of its type. UW's Facilities Planning and Management team turned to BSI to help design and install several hundred workstations. When UW-Parkside was ready to upgrade and retrofit the Darshan Shaliwal Modern Languages Laboratory, BSI was their immediate choice. It was the same with UW-Madison when it came to outfitting the open administrative areas of Camp Randall's new addition, Kellner Hall. In all projects, the BSI teams provided solutions that surpassed expectations, but also demonstrated their professionalism and ability to work around difficult situations.

WASHINGTON UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS TELECENTER

When the Washington State Employment Security Department decided to consolidate 30 of their office buildings into 3 telecenters, FlexStation® Systems and System XXI® Panels were there to help. Although the large telecenters had a visual openness, each employee could maintain a sense of privacy with the ingenuity of the products selected. The new telecenters are not only visually appealing, but can also be reconfigured to meet the needs of today and tomorrow.

BADGER STATE INDUSTRIES

The Badger State Industries Corporate Headquarters needed a make-over. Rather than just update their office look, they decided to create a showroom featuring PowerWorks® Panels, incorporating all the different panel options OEI has available in the line. Not only are customers able to view all aspects of this incredible system, installers are able to take a hands-on approach with it. The new office combines function, form and aesthetics to meet the needs of the workers at BSI.
